Ride along with Peter Loveall as he talks about his horsemanship journey that has taken him from thinking of a horse as a tool to being a thinking, breathing full partner in everything they do.
This book is an inspirational look at one man's journey pursuing a better relationship with his horses. The book looks back at his beginnings and focuses on the significant changes in how he approaches the horse. It is not a “how-to” book although there are plenty of examples but rather it explores the changes he had to make so his horses could get better.
Based on his learning from many modern clinicians whose philosophies are based on how Tom Dorrance, Bill Dorrance, and Ray Hunt looked at the horse, this is Mr. Loveall’s perspective of what meant the most to him along his journey.
The book has no ending because the journey will continue for as long as Mr. Loveall is alive. The horses that have been Mr. Loveall’s teachers still have more to teach and Mr. Loveall still has much to learn.

The Love-L brand was started in 1988 on a 250 acre ranch in central Texas.
In 1996, the ranch was moved from near Harper to a small farm in Sachse, TX.
In 1999, we moved the ranch again to its current location NE of McKinney, TX on 90 acres of prime farmland.
In addition to raising horses and dogs, our land is leased out for cattle. We also grow hay for our horses and for sale.
